Fabrice Edelmann

Fabrice Edelmann is born in Geneva, Switzerland. He iniciates his dance formation at the Conservatoire Populaire. He then goes to the famous École de Danse de Genève under the direction of Beatriz Consuelo where he gets an full formation in classical and contemporary techniques. He quickly joins the joung company of the school Le Ballet Junior of the same director where he acquires his first pre professional experience, dancing piece from choreo grapherssuch as IvoniceSatie, Iracity Cardoso, Beatriz Consuelo, Frederic Gafneror Myriam Naisy.

In 1994 he enters the Hagen Ballet of Richard Wherlockwho he will be working with for 8 years as a soloist, following him to the Luzerner Ballet (CH), the Komische Oper Berlin (D) and finaly the Ballet Basel (CH). He dances leading roles in choreographies from Ed Wube, Orjan Anderson, Nils Christie, Myriam Naisy, ItzikGalili and Richard Wherlock.

In 2002 in joins the Compañía Nacional de Danza of Nacho Duato widening his experience with works of world widere knowned choreographers like Ohad Naharin, JiriKylian, William Forsythe, MatsEk, WimVandekeybus, Yoko Taira, GentianDoda and Nacho Duato. In the season 2008 in becomes rehearsals director of the Compañía Nacional de Danza 2, which he will be directing in 2010.

At the moment he works as international guest teacher in various schools and companies nationaly and internationaly. He is cultural manager and works as artistic coordinator for the Gala Somos Arte.
