Pilar Nevado

Born in Madrid, she studies at the Real Conservatorio de Arte Dramatico y Danza Mariemma and at   the schools of Lola Morales and Carmina Ocaña .

She continues her formation at the prestigious School of American Ballet created by George Balanchine in New York City.

As a professional dancer she works at the Victor Ullate Ballet in Spain, and the Zurich Ballet  and Basel Ballet in Switzerland.Her repertory includes solo roles in classical ballets  like “ Don Quixote”, “Swan lake” , “Giselle,”, “Nutcracker”, “Cinderella”, “Coppelia” as well as modern works form choreographers such as George Balanchine, Maurice Bejart, Hans van Manen, Niels Christie, Jiry Killian, William Forsyhte, Nacho Duato, Sol Leon , Paul Lightfoot ,Heinz Spoerli and Richard Wherlock among others.

She has participated in international galas and was named Dancer of the year 2004 by the French magazine “Danse”

 

Since 2009, she is a dedicated teacher working for Der Schule für das Opernhaus Zürich, Stage School Zürich and Tanz Theater Schule.

 

She has been a guest teacher at the companies like Bern Ballet  and the  Cathy Sharp dance ensemble.
